The Calusa Herpetological Society
Of Southwest Florida

Thursday, April 1, 20107:00 pm

SPEAKER & TOPIC : Jesse Rothacker will be sharing some pictures, videos, and funny stories about Running a Reptile Rescue and Education Organization in Amish Country, Pennsylvania.  Jesse founded Forgotten Friend, a 501c3 nonprofit group, in 2004.  Since then he has helped find homes for thousands of pet herps, and reached millions of families with a positive message through community visits, TV and radio programming, and online fun and learning.  Over the years Jesse has seen a part-time passion turn into a full-time herpetology career, and every day brings great new experiences to share.  Jesse will be visiting our area with friends from the Lancaster Herp Society in Lancaster, PA, and Harvey Bird, founder and president of the Metropolitan Herp Society in Staten Island, NY, who are all excited to visit Southwest Florida.

WHO'S INVITED ? You are! Anyone with an interest in any aspect of herpetology or herpetoculture is welcome to attend, learn, and exchange their experiences with our friendly membership. Come out to meet others who keep, breed or study reptiles and amphibians, and let them share their fascination with you. We average 35 – 70 people attending every meeting.

Cookies and cold soda, a nightly raffle of live herps, herp products, and books follow each speaker's talk, and lots of herp camaraderie, gossip, and fun can be counted upon at all meetings !
