The Calusa Herpetological Society
Of Southwest Florida

Thursday, July 1, 20217:00 pm

SPEAKER & TOPIC:  This month's (in-person, not Zoom) speaker is herp-industry veteran Wayne Hill.  Wayne is going to speak to us about the husbandry and propagation of the Zambezi flapshell turtle (Cycloderma frenatum)

For over 30 years, Wayne has been a major influence with herpetoculture in Florida and around the world. Wayne is a top-notch captive breeder of many turtles and tortoises, as well the person that puts on the National Reptile Breeders Expo each year in Daytona. Don't miss this opportunity to hear and meet one of the people responsible for the success of the hobby today. His lectures are very entertaining, so don't miss this special event. We will meet in the same place, the Iona House at the Calusa Nature Center. We will also go to dinner afterwards at Texas Roadhouse on Six-mile Cypress near Colonial Blvd.

HO'S INVITED ? You are! Anyone with an interest in any aspect of herpetology or herpetoculture is welcome to attend, learn, and exchange their experiences with our friendly membership. Come out to meet others who keep, breed or study reptiles and amphibians, and let them share their fascination with you. We average 35 – 70 people attending every meeting.

Cookies and cold soda, a nightly raffle of live herps, herp products, and books follow each speaker's talk, and lots of herp camaraderie, gossip, and fun can be counted upon at all meetings !
