SPEAKER
& TOPIC: Tonight's
speaker is one of the Calusa Herpetological Society's creators, Bill
Love. The title of his talk is "Herping
Across Australia". He returned from his 4th visit to
Australia last month with oodles of new adventures in the field, and an
ample helping of viewing and photographing herpers' collections. Bill has added
the most memorable photos and stories of the drive into the Outback to the herp
highlights of past trips to make it an extravaganza of touring Oz. Enjoy
traveling over the country through the travelogue-style talk and get a real
feel for what's it's like herp-wise in our 'twin-sister' country across the
Pacific. Bill is flying in from Arizona to give this talk so come on out to the
meeting and visit an old friend and local legend.
As always, we will be going out to dinner, with Bill Love, after the meeting at Stevie Tomatoes (Just west of I-75 on Daniels on the north side of the street). See you there!
WHO'S INVITED ? You are! Anyone with an interest in any aspect of herpetology or herpetoculture is welcome to attend, learn, and exchange their experiences with our friendly membership. Come out to meet others who keep, breed or study reptiles and amphibians, and let them share their fascination with you. We average 15 – 35 people attending every meeting.
Cookies and cold soda, a nightly raffle of live herps, herp products, and books follow each speaker's talk, and lots of herp camaraderie, gossip, and fun can be counted upon at all meetings !
