SPEAKER
& TOPIC: Tonight's
speaker is Rachel Rainbolt, the Development and
Education Coordinator at C.R.O.W (Clinic for the Rehabilitation of Wildlife) on
Sanibel Island. The title of her talk is Wild about
Rehabilitation. Southwest Florida is filled with fascinating wildlife!
When they become sick, injured or orphaned these animals are transported to the
Clinic for the Rehabilitation of Wildlife (CROW) for medical and supportive
care. After a patient stabilizes in the hospital, CROW's rehabilitation staff
provides them with a combination of balanced diet, husbandry and physical
therapy. This program will discuss common reasons for admission and treatment,
including a live encounter with Sheldon the Gopher Tortoise.
See you there!
HO'S INVITED ? You are! Anyone with an interest in any aspect of herpetology or herpetoculture is welcome to attend, learn, and exchange their experiences with our friendly membership. Come out to meet others who keep, breed or study reptiles and amphibians, and let them share their fascination with you. We average 35 – 70 people attending every meeting.
Cookies and cold soda, a nightly raffle of live herps, herp products, and books follow each speaker's talk, and lots of herp camaraderie, gossip, and fun can be counted upon at all meetings !
